We had a lovely valentine’s get-away in the Peak District. The plan was to climb Lose Hill from Hope and follow the great ridge to Mam Tor before descending.

It was wet, it was muddy and it was bordering on type two fun. We cut the walk short after Back Tor, zoomed down the hill and first had some hot drinks and pastries at the Penny Pot, and then pints in the Rambler Inn before catching the train back to Hope, to dry out properly before recommencing the eating and drinking.
