Hampton Court Palace is on the outskirts of London. As the pictures show, it’s a bit of a higgledy-piggledy building that reflects the way that it was built over several centuries by sticking a new bit here and there. My favourite bit of the buildings was William and Mary’s baroque palace, but the real star was the utterly lovely gardens.
One that I wasn’t expecting was the art collection held there, I really enjoyed the Canaletto collection (e.g.).
