Alesund is a nice enough town. We walked up the 400 steps (plus slopes) to the top of Aksla for some amazing panoramic views around the town and the archipelago. We had a (fairly dull) walk to the Atlanterhavsparken, which is a fantastic sea aquarium. Sara was very taken by the “ugly dinosaur fish” but the highlight were the penguins and seals in the outside areas.
